A Sooty by MAD. This is a part of my Made To Order line of cutlery. Essentially you choose handle color, handle shape and steel finish.
They will be hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel and have some forge texture on the ricasso along with machined bevels. The steel finish is completely up to the customer and can be clean steel, mustard patina (shown), coffee patina or Lonely Saturday Night (MAD signature finish).
The handles will be made from a framed tang construction using g10 for body and bolster. Choice for g10 color and shape is up to customer as well. Handle shapes include ergonomic, oval (shown) or octagonal.
The edge on the Sooty is 5 3/4” and it’s 10 3/4” overall with a balance point at the ricasso.
