Fordite Vasectomizer

This MAD made Vasectomizer is all finished up and looking for its forever home. It was hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel and was given a forced patina to darken the steel and add a bit of rust resistance. The steel features forged texture on the ricasso, flats and swedge in contrast with machined bevels. This blade also has a differential heat treat using an interrupted quench and can be seen in the forced patina finish. I used a pice of antler from a shed found in Nebraska for the handle along with a fordite (layered vehicle paint) bolster and g10 layering. The sheath was hand made and hand stitched in house as well with a ring attached to the belt loop to assure it’s always pointing the tip downwards.
